TIERRA Y LIBERTAD SALUDA EL REGRESO DEL PRESIDENTE JUAN MANUEL ZELAYA EN HONDURAS Y EXIGE AL GOBIERNO DE FACTO DE RESPETAR LA MOVILIZACION CIUDADANA
Tierra y Libertad saluda, respalda y comparte la alegría que ha expresado el pueblo hondureño con motivo del regreso, a Tegucigalpa, del presidente Juan Manuel Zelaya. La presencia del presidente legítimamente elegido en Honduras debe contribuir a una salida pacífica de la crisis y a un retorno del orden constitucional interrumpido por el golpe de Estado ocurrido el 28 de junio.
Tierra y Libertad reafirma su solidaridad con las movilizaciones del pueblo hondureño y se aúna a las fuerzas progresistas hondureñas comprometidas con la resistencia y en la lucha por la democracia y la paz. Saludamos así mismo al gobierno brasilero por haber acogido al presidente Zelaya, en la embajada de Brasil en Honduras.
Aunamos nuestras voces a todos los partidos políticos, movimientos y organizaciones sociales y gobiernos de América Latina y El Caribe que han condenado el uso del toque de queda por parte del gobierno de facto como un instrumento de control de la participación ciudadana. Reiteramos que de producirse un "baño de sangre", como lo han anunciado los golpistas en reiteradas ocasiones, si el presidente Zelaya regresara, sería responsabilidad directa del gobierno de facto, que tendría que responder por el crimen de persecución política ante la Corte Penal Internacional.
En este sentido, Tierra y Libertad exige al gobierno de facto que se abstenga de reprimir la movilización ciudadana y evitar la emisión de mensajes que contribuyan a la violencia. Consideramos que se debe permitir el regreso de las autoridades legítimas, asegurar el respeto por los derechos humanos y facilitar un diálogo nacional que contribuya a la salida definitiva de la crisis.
Garantizar la seguridad del depuesto presidente Zelaya y de la embajada de Brasil, donde se encuentra actualmente refugiado, debe ser uno de los objetivos de la solidaridad y apoyo internacional

LAND AND FREEDOM WELCOMES THE RETURN OF PRESIDENT JUAN MANUEL ZELAYA IN HONDURAS AND DE FACTO GOVERNMENT DEMANDS RESPECT THE CITIZEN MOBILIZATION Tierra y Libertad welcomes, supports and shares the joy he expressed the Honduran people to mark the return to Tegucigalpa, President Juan Manuel Zelaya. The presence of the legitimately elected president in Honduras should contribute to a peaceful solution to the crisis and a return to constitutional order disrupted by the coup d'état on 28 June. Land and Freedom reaffirms its solidarity with the demonstrations of the Honduran people and brings together progressive forces Honduran committed to resistance and struggle for democracy and peace. Likewise salute the Brazilian government for hosting the President Zelaya, in the Brazilian Embassy in Honduras. We combine our voices to all political parties, movements and social organizations and governments in Latin America and the Caribbean who have condemned the use of curfew by the government de facto as an instrument of control of citizen participation. We reiterate that the occurrence of a "bloodbath" as the coup leaders have announced several times, if President Zelaya returned, would be the direct responsibility of de facto government, which would have to answer for the crime of political persecution before the International Criminal Court . In this sense, Tierra y Libertad de facto requires the government to refrain from suppressing the mobilization of citizens and prevent the emission of messages that contribute to violence. We believe that this should allow the return of the legitimate authorities to ensure respect for human rights and facilitate a national dialogue that contributes to the final departure of the crisis. Ensuring the safety of the deposed President Zelaya and the Brazilian embassy, where he is currently a refugee, must be one of the goals of solidarity and international support.
